Hot Mulled Cider

One of the thing many things about winter is when your cooking, things seem to smell more wonderful when it’s cold than when it’s hot outside. “Hot Mulled Cider” is one of those wonderful smells that makes you warm all over.

2 quarts apple cider
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tsp whole allspice berries
1 tsp whole cloves
1/4 tsp salt
Dash nutmeg (ground)
3 inches stick cinnamon
1 orange, sliced
