pounds Bramley apples ( 3 and ½ pounds of Bramley apples or your favorite baking apple combination )
Lemon ( Zest from 1 lemon and its juice )
Cup Sugar ( 1/2 white granulated sugar )
tablespoons Dark Brown Sugar ( 6 tablespoon Dark brown sugar packed )
tablespoons salt ( A heaping ¼ teaspoon of salt )
teaspoons ground cinnamon ( ¼ to ½ teaspoon of ground cinnamon )
tablespoons all-purpose flour ( 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour )
tablespoons cornstarch ( 2 tablespoons of cornstarch )
Ingredients for Baking the Apple Pie::
Egg ( A beaten egg, cream or milk for brushing over the crust )
