Huckleberry Lemon Drop

This is my absolute FAVORITE drink. Ever since we moved to Montana I have grown a great love obsession with Huckleberries. Never having them before moving here, I feel I really need to catch up! So every chance I get I consume them. I am still waiting for someone to take me to their super secret huckleberry patch, but people really do guard their secret berry patches around here. One of my favorite ways to consume huckleberries is Huckleberry Vodka. Yes. Oh my god yes! Seriously the BEST vodka e

1 1/2 oz Huckleberry Vodka (or chosen Vodka if you cannot find Huckleberry)
1 1/2 tsp simple syrup (1 part water to 2 parts sugar)
3/4 oz fresh lemon juice
lemon twist
sugar to sugar the rim

Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well. Strain into a chilled sugar rimmed glass. Add lemon twist. Enjoy!
