Hunk a Toffee

Melt butter in saucepan. Mix in sugar and water over medium heat until mixed well. Add salt and vanilla and stir constantly until candy has reached brittle stage in cold water test. Spread on prepared cookie sheet. Sprinkle chocolate chips when toffee has firmed and spread as they melt. Let cool for 1 hour. Garnish with pecan pieces.
