Jalapeno Cheddar Sandwich Bread

Delicious bread to take your sandwich to the next level

2 3/4 cup all purpose flour, plus more for the work surface
1 cup whole wheat flour (I used white wheat)
2 tsp salt
1 cup cold buttermilk (I used low fat)
1/3 cup water
2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
3 tbsp honey
2 1/4 tsp yeast (1 packet)
2-3 jalapenos, seeds and membrane removed, diced
~ 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese (I probably used a bit more than that)

Marinated Taro Root

A marinated snack that can be used to replace late night bad habit cravings!

8 small taro roots
water
salt
1 cup yogurt, mixed with enough water to submerge roots (add salt)

  1. Wash the taro roots well.
  2. Slightly cut a slit into each root, but not big enough to split the root into two pieces. This will allow the water and marinade to go into the taro root
