I love that this dessert is so versatile. If you are not a chocolate person, you can swap out the pudding layer for whatever flavor you prefer. These squares are rich, decadent, and dreamy...a definite splurge, but oh-so-worth it. All it takes is one bite and you're hooked!

First layer:
1 cup flour
1/2 cup chopped nuts, optional
1/2 cup butter or margarine

Second Layer:
1 8-ounce package cream cheese, softened to room temperature
1 cup powdered sugar
1 cup Cool Whip

Third Layer:
2 packages of instant chocolate pudding (or other flavor of choice)

Fourth Layer:
Remaining Cool Whip
