Lemon Chicken Carbonara Recipe

My husband LOVES Chicken Carbonara from Olive Garden so I decided to surprise him with my own version of Chicken Carbonara. I ventured out to the Farmers Market in Logan, Utah and I must say that it was the biggest farmers market I have ever been to! It was so much fun! I picked up some fresh ingredients to cook the Carbonara and he loved it! I love using fresh ingredients for my recipes! Hope you love it as much as we did!

2 tsp. olive oil
2 oz. thinly sliced bacon, chopped
1 tsp. garlic minced
1 1/4 cup whipping cream
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
4 large egg yolks
1/4 cup fresh basil leaves - chopped
2 teaspoons dried parsley leaves
1/2 pound spaghetti noodles
2 cups chicken, cooked and shredded
1 to 2 Tomatoes, diced
Freshly ground black pepper
3 Tablespoons lemon peel, finely grated
2 tsp. olive oil
2 oz. thinly sliced bacon, chopped

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/4 cup fresh basil leaves - chopped
2 teaspoons dried parsley leaves
