Lemon Cream Cupcakes

These cupcakes are moist and fluffy but not too fluffy. They've got just the right amount of substance. And the lemon buttercream frosting tops it all off with a beautiful burst of lemon.

For the cupcakes:
1 3/4 cups flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup milk
2 large egg whites
1/2 cup butter, melted
1 cup sugar
1 TBS fresh lemon juice
zest of one lemon (about 2 teaspoons)

For the Lemon Buttercream Frosting:
2 sticks butter (very soft)
4 cups powder sugar
4 teaspoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon lemon zest
2 tablespoons heavy cream
additional lemon zest and lemon wedges to garnish
