These Lemon Lime Cupcakes are a refreshing drink in cupcake form! Tangy lemon and lime flavor the cupcake and the buttercream frosting to mimic 7UP’s crisp clean taste. These cupcakes are perfect for any summer party or get-together.

1/2 cup unsalted butter room temperature
3/4 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 tablespoon lemon zest about 1 lemon
1 teaspoon lime zest about 1 lime
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 and 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 and 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup 7UP
For the frosting
1 cup unsalted butter room temperature
1/8 teaspoon salt
3 and 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar sifted
1 tablespoon lemon zest about 1 lemon
1 teaspoon lime zest about 1 lime
2-3 tablespoons 7UP
