3 C (15 oz) all-purpose flour
1 C (7 oz) sugar
2 tbsp poppy seeds
1 tbsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 C plain whole milk yogurt or Greek yogurt
2 tbsp fresh lemon juice ( optional )
1 1/2 tbsp grated lemon zest
2 large eggs
8 tbsp unsalted butter ( melted and cooled )
FOR THE GLAZE
1/4 C sugar
1/4 C lemon juice
