LEMON VANILLA BEAN SCONES

1 vanilla bean ( split and scraped of seeds )
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
½ cup heavy whipping cream
1 cup all purpose ( AP flour )
1 tablespoon baking powder
6 tablespoons granulated sugar
½ teaspoon Kosher salt
½ cup very cold butter ( cut into ½-inch cubes )
1 large egg
1 lemon ( zest only )
1 large egg beaten with 1 tablespoon heavy cream
1 (½ tablespoons) heavy whipping cream
½ cup sifted powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
½ teaspoon lemon extract
1 Tiny pinch of salt
1 cup cake flour ( plus 2 tbsp )
In a small bowl, pour in the heavy cream. Using a very sharp knife, split the vanilla bean lengthwise and scrape the seeds and pulp from the pod. Drop the seeds and pulp into the heavy whipping cream. ...
