Sugar and spice and everything nice, that's what these little cookies are made of.

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
3/4 cup packed dark brown sugar
1/4 cup butter, softened
2 tablespoons maple syrup, light
1 large egg
Maple Syrup Glaze:
1 cup powdered sugar
2 tablespoons maple syrup, light
1 tablespoon fat-free milk
2 teaspoons butter, softened
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
3/4 cup packed dark brown sugar
1/4 cup butter, softened
2 tablespoons maple syrup, light
1 large egg
Maple Syrup Glaze:
1 cup powdered sugar
2 tablespoons maple syrup, light
1 tablespoon fat-free milk
2 teaspoons butter, softened
Combine flour and other dry ingredients together in a medium-sized mixing bowl. In a larger mixing bowl, beat together sugar, butter, egg, and maple syrup until well-combined. Slowly add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing well after each addition. The batter will be very sticky. Once thoroughly combined, drop the dough by heaping teaspoonfuls onto parchment paper covered baking sheet. Bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes, until golden-brown. Allow cookies to cool completely on wire rack.
