Sugar cookies with delicious maple flavor and topped with a maple icing.

2 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1/3 cup canola oil
1 1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 egg
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon maple extract
3 cups powdered sugar
3 tablespoons water
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
3/4 teaspoons maple extract
