These cookies are so nostalgic for me. My Grandma used to make them for us when we'd go to visit. She'd put them in a big Tupperware container in layers, separated by wax paper, and they'd get really moist. She'd set the big bowl on the table, and we'd eat to our heart's content. 4 eggs
4 c. plus 1/4 c. flour
1 t. baking powder
2 t. baking soda
3 t. nutmeg
1 1/2 c. shortening
1 T. lemon extract
3/4 c. raisins, boiled (get rid of the water)
3/4 t. salt
1 c. buttermilk
