This Mushroom Wild Rice Pilaf is simple, fresh, and packed with flavor!

1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
1/2 white onion, diced
1 pound sliced, fresh baby bella mushrooms
2 teaspoons minced garlic
Salt and pepper, to taste
2 cups dry wild rice
4 cups low sodium chicken broth
2 tablespoons fresh chives, if desired
