This Southern staple has many variations but this my favorite either warm or cold right out of the fridge. My Nana did not measure but we have THE spoon she used for measuring so my daughter measured how much she put in that spoon. We captured the recipe for our family and now I am sharing it with you!
1 ½ Cups Sugar
6 level Tablespoons flour
1 Can Evaporated Milk
3 Eggs (beaten)
1 Stick unsalted butter
1 teaspoon Vanilla

In a bowl mix milk, eggs, and butter. Pour into double boiler.
