Do you love oatmeal cookies? These chewy gems are full of chocolate chips and nuts, but you can change it up by leaving the additions out or substituting raisins!

1/2 cup unsalted butter
2 large eggs
1 cup maple syrup
1/2 cup milk
2 cups quick cooking oats
1 1/2 cup all-purpose unbleached flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • Preheat your oven to 350 F. Line insulated baking sheet with parchment paper or silicone mat.

Marinated Taro Root

A marinated snack that can be used to replace late night bad habit cravings!

8 small taro roots
water
salt
1 cup yogurt, mixed with enough water to submerge roots (add salt)

  1. Wash the taro roots well.
  2. Slightly cut a slit into each root, but not big enough to split the root into two pieces. This will allow the water and marinade to go into the taro root
