SUPER EASY 1 Hour Pear Butter! This is the perfect spread for Fall...eat it for breakfast, snack, or any time in between!

3 15 ounce cans chopped pears, drained (or about 6 pears, cored and chopped)
1 tablespoon brown sugar
3 tablespoons agave nectar (or honey)
Juice from ½ lemon
½ tablespoon ground ginger
¼ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
pinch ground cloves
1 teaspoon lemon zest (optional)
1 star anise (totally optional)
