1 1/2 pounds chicken thighs, boneless and skinless ( cut into bite size pieces )
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup green pepper ( diced )
1/2 cup yellow onion ( diced )
5 ounces sliced pepperoni ( each slice quartered, reserving 12 whole slices )
2 teaspoon Italian Seasoning
1/4 teaspoon Oregano
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
24 ounces jarred marinara sauce
2 teaspoon garlic ( minced )
12 ounces penne pasta ( dry )
4 cups water
2 cups mozzarella cheese ( shredded )
1 tablespoon fresh basil ( minced )
