Passion Fruit Cocktail

A refreshing combination of flavors. Basil, Passion fruit, blood orange make up the light flavor of this cocktail. A must for any Thirsty Thurs-yay!

handful basil leaves, torn
1/2 cup passion fruit simple syrup*
juice of 3-4 blood oranges
juice of 3-4 limes
3/4 cup white rum
coarse sugar, for rim of cup
ice
sparkling water
