1 tablespoon chili powder
1 tablespoon paprika ( if you like the smokey flavor, use smoked paprika )
1 tablespoon dry mustard
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon onion powder
6-7 pound beef brisket with a fat cap of at least ¼ inch
