Baked doughnuts with the perfect pumpkin flavor.

1/2 cup canola oil
3 eggs
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
1 1/2 cups pumpkin puree
3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 3/4 cup (2 tablespoons) all purpose flour
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

Preheat the oven to 350º F. Spray 2- 6 cavity doughnut pans with cooking spray.

8 small taro roots
water
salt
1 cup yogurt, mixed with enough water to submerge roots (add salt)

  1. Wash the taro roots well.
  2. Slightly cut a slit into each root, but not big enough to split the root into two pieces. This will allow the water and marinade to go into the taro root
