Pumpkin Granola

I crave pumpkin during the fall and winter. And since it was time to make some more granola for breakfast, I thought I'd throw some pumpkin into the mix and see what happens. Part of the reason I wanted to do this was to eliminate the oil and reduce the sugar in my granola. There is still some sugar in the mix, but with the apple sauce and the pumpkin, I feel that there is just the right amount of sweetness. 6 cups old fashioned oatmeal
1/2 cup whole wheat flour (or other grain flour)
1/2 cup corn meal (or other grain flour)
1/2 cup coconut
1 tbsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp cloves
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1 15 oz. can pumpkin
1/2 cup apple sauce
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup whole wheat flour (or other grain flour)
1/2 cup corn meal (or other grain flour)
1/2 cup coconut
1 tbsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp cloves
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1 15 oz. can pumpkin
1/2 cup apple sauce
1/2 cup brown sugar
Preheat the oven to 350. In a large bowl, mix oatmeal, flour, coconut, and spices. Toss in the pumpkin, apple sauce and brown sugar. Mix very well.
Spread mixture into a 9x13 non-stick cake pan.
