An easy recipe of sweet, homestyle turnips with the mild flavours of ginger and fresh coriander.

Punjabi Turnips:
3 turnips ( diced about 400g )
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 tablespoons ginger ( grated )
4 tablespoons onion ( finely chopped )
3 tablespoons coriander stem ( chopped )
2 green chilies ( broken in half )
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 tablespoon turmeric
1/4 tablespoon red chili powder
3/4 cup water
1/2 teaspoon sugar
chopped coriander ( for garnish )
  1. Heat oil in a work or frying pan on medium heat. When hot, add ginger and allow to sizzle for 1 minute. Add onions and stir. Allow onions to cook until they are translucent and start turning golden...
