Do you have a dish from your childhood that you just loved and was sort of a treat when you got it? This dish was a typical frozen dinner that me and my brothers got all excited about when we were allowed to have it. Now, lets just say, I really don’t even want to know what was in there and boy am I glad to never give my kids those things {granted it makes me smile to see that there are organic options out there}. This Salisbury Steak with Mushroom Gravy is nothing like those frozen dinners! Bes

For the Salisbury Steak:
2 lbs meatloaf mix {beef, veal, pork}
1 cup Italian seasoned breadcrumbs
2 eggs
1 1/2 tsp worcestershire sauce
2 tsp onion powder
2 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
olive oil
For the gravy:
1 large shallot, rough chopped
1 lbs sliced baby bella or cremini mushrooms
3 heaping Tbsp flour
1/2 cup red wine
6 cups chicken broth
fresh chopped parsley
