Slow Cooker Baked Beans Recipe
361
I never loved beans growing up. My mom had a recipe called Calico Beans, and my whole family seemed to love it but me! I remember one time when we were eating them for dinner and I was told I needed to take some bites of my beans. I chewed them and “threw them up” on my mom’s new rug. Really, I was just being dramatic and spit them out in hopes that I wouldn’t have to eat any more of them. I may not have had to eat anymore beans, but I had to clean chewed up beans from all over the floor.
8
3 (28 ounce) cans pork and beans
1 small onion, diced
1 cup barbecue sauce
3/4 cup brown sugar
2 Tablespoons yellow mustard
1/2 pound bacon, cooked and crumbled
1 small onion, diced
1 cup barbecue sauce
3/4 cup brown sugar
2 Tablespoons yellow mustard
1/2 pound bacon, cooked and crumbled
Mix all ingredients, except bacon, in slow cooker. Stir until combined, cover and cook on low for 3-5 hours. Cook bacon and crumble on top of beans before serving.
