These SLOW COOKER GARLIC BUTTER MASHED POTATOES are the perfect EASY Thanksgiving side dish. So much flavor and none of the fuss.

3 pounds Yukon Gold potatoes ( peeled and chopped )
1-2 bulbs garlic ( the top ¼ cut off )
1/4 cup chicken broth
1 tablespoon salt
1/4 tablespoon freshly ground black pepper ( optional )
