Slow Cooker Ham & Bean Soup

We had a lot of leftover ham from the holidays and a giant hambone. I really liked making this soup since I also got to use a leftover onion, some carrots and kale. I love the heartiness of the beans too. And they’re good for you.

1 leftover hambone
24oz water
2-3 cups great northern beans
2-3 cups pinto beans
5 Medium carrots (diced)
1 Medium yellow onion (diced)
3 cups chopped cooked ham
Seattle Seasoning Salt to taste (or equivalent product)
3 Large leaves kale (chopped)
In a 6 quart slow cooker, add the first 7 ingredients. Cook on low for 3 hours. Add the chopped kale. Cook on low another 2 hours. Serve with garlic bread
