Soft-Baked Cutout Sugar Cookies

These soft rollout sugar cookies have Christmas and New Years written all over them! It’s the perfect cookie.

3 cups all purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup butter, softened
1 1/3 cups sugar
2 large eggs
1 Tbsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp almond extract
Frosting
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 1/2 cups-2 cups powdered sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
salt to taste
1 tsp milk
