Soft French Bread

We call this 'french bread' at our house because of the way it's shaped and the slits on top- but it doesn't keep that hard outer shell. It's a great bread- soft and chewy.

2 1/2 C. warm water

2 TBL yeast

3 TBL sugar

1 TBL salt

1/3 C. oil

6 1/2 C. bread flour
