A sweetly spiced cake covered in sweet and tart blackberries!

1/2 C. Melted butter
1 C. Brown sugar
3-4 C. Fresh blackberries
1/2 C. Butter, at room temperature
1 C. Sugar
1 1/3 C. Flour
1/2 tsp. Ground cardamom
1 tsp. Ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. Ground ginger
1/2 tsp. Ground cloves
1/2 tsp. Baking soda
1/4 tsp. Salt
3 Eggs
1 C. Buttermilk
