Spicy Pan Fried Spanish Almonds

This recipe is very easy to make and brings the flavors of Spain into your kitchen within minutes. I used Spanish marcona almonds to make this recipe, but you can use any type of almonds that you prefer.

1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
1 cup marcona almonds
1/2 tsp hot smoked spanish paprika

8 small taro roots
water
salt
1 cup yogurt, mixed with enough water to submerge roots (add salt)

  2. Slightly cut a slit into each root, but not big enough to split the root into two pieces. This will allow the water and marinade to go into the taro root
