Sprouted Mung Beans

For years the rave has been that sprouted grains and beans are good for you.

4 cups sprouted mung beans
1 tbsp fresh grated garlic
water
pinch hing
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
salt
oil
fresh grated green chili

TRADITIONAL PRESSURE COOKER

  1. Heat oil in a pressure cooker and add mustard seeds. Once they pop add the hing and sprouted mung beans.

Marinated Taro Root

A marinated snack that can be used to replace late night bad habit cravings!

8 small taro roots
water
salt
1 cup yogurt, mixed with enough water to submerge roots (add salt)

  1. Wash the taro roots well.
  2. Slightly cut a slit into each root, but not big enough to split the root into two pieces. This will allow the water and marinade to go into the taro root
