Strawberry Shortcake Cupcakes a dense sweet pound cake filled with a whole strawberry and topped with a whip cream frosting. Your own mini strawberry shortcake cupcakes! Nothing marks Spring more than Fresh Strawberries! Celebrate Spring with these wonderful fresh cupcakes. Perfect for Easter too!

For the Cupcakes:
3 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups granulated sugar
3 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
6 large eggs
2 cups butter, softened
1/2 cup milk
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
36 whole strawberries
1 whipped cream frosting recipe (below)
For the Whipped Cream Frosting:
8 ounce cream cheese
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
2 cups heavy cream
