Strawberry Walnut Thumbprints

This recipe is a family favorite! Packed with gooey jelly and crunchy walnuts. This cookie is sure to please!

1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup margarine
1 egg, separated
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 cup flour
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 cup chopped walnuts
