1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup light brown sugar
2 strips bacon
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 medium granny smith apple ( peeled and grated )
1 1/2-2 pound head of red cabbage ( quartered, cored and shredded 1/2-inch thick about 10 cups )
1/4 cup red wine
2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
