My FAVORITE appetizer at The Cheesecake Factory! This homemade version is delicious. Tamale cakes served with a scoop of salsa verde, pico de gallo, sour cream, and avocado, and drizzled with a southwest sauce on top.

For the Sweet Corn Tamale Cakes
1 1/2 cups fresh frozen corn
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/3 cup masa harina
1/4 cup water
2 Tbsp milk or cream
1/4 cup corn meal
1/3 cup sugar
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
For topping
1/3 cup Salsa verde
1/2 cup fresh Pico de gallo
1 avocado chopped
1/2 cup sour cream
Southwest Sauce
2 Tbsp mayonnaise
2 Tbsp plain Greek yogurt
1/4 tsp vinegar
1/4 tsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp sugar
1?4 tsp chili powder
1/4 tsp paprika
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 garlic powder
1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
1/8 tsp onion powder
2 Tbsp of your favorite salsa
