Thanksgiving is a time of give thanks, of course. The thing I'm most thankful for on my Thanksgiving table is my Thanksgiving stuffing with fruit.
12 oz bag of Pepperidge Farm Herb Seasoned Stuffing
2 c water or broth
4 Tbsp butter
4 stalks of celery ( chopped )
1 small onion ( chopped )
1-1/2 c raisins
2 apples ( peeled, cored, and chopped )
1-1/2 c whole cranberries
2 Tbsp orange zest ( optional )
2 c water or broth

This is a fabulous side dish for so many different meals. The combination of butter and herbs is irresistible. The real secret is to toast the bread before you make the stuffing. This will go great with turkey, pork, meatloaf or chicken. You are going to simply love it!
1 (½ c) celery ( chopped )
¾ c onion ( chopped )
1 c fresh mushrooms ( chopped )
¾ c butter
9 cups bread cubes ( I use half white and wheat bread )
½ tsp. salt
½ tsp ground sage
½ tsp dried thyme
¼ teaspoon pepper
¾ to 1 c chicken broth ( as needed )
¾ c onion ( chopped )
1 c fresh mushrooms ( chopped )

9 cups bread cubes ( I use half white and wheat bread )

Toast bread and cut or tear into pieces. Sauté celery, onion and mushrooms in butter until tender. Add seasonings. Toss with bread cubes until bread is well coated. Add chicken broth to moisten.
