"There are as many meatloaf recipes as there are cooks", is what a wise woman once told me. I can't agree more! But this… this is an original southern recipe that the whole family can enjoy!

TOPPING SAUCE:
12 oz tomato sauce (use tomato puree for a thicker consistency)
1/2 cup brown sugar
MEATLOAF:
2 lb ground turkey
2 tbsp melted butter
2 tbsp oil
2 eggs
1 cup plain bread crumbs
1/2 cup old fashioned rolled oats (quick or regular)
2 tbsp worchestire sauce
1 medium onion, very finely chopped (can be food processed)
2 celery, very finely diced
3 cloves garlic, minced (optional)
6 oz evaporated milk
fresh ground pepper
salt

- Combine the tomato sauce/puree with sugar and microwave or heat on a stove top until the sugar has melted.
