2 cups all-purpose flour

1 tbsp baking powder
2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper, optional
1 cup buttermilk
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 1/2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
