1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup buttermilk

Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour a 10-inch pan.
Topping: Mix together dry ingredients. Dredge apple slices in dry mix. Place artfully in the pan. Sprinkle on any leftover mix.
