2/3 c. cracker crumbs
1/3 c. dried minced onion
1 egg
1-1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. ginger
1/4 c. milk
1/2 c. brown sugar ( packed )
1 (13-1/2 oz.) can pineapple tidbits ( drained, reserve syrup )
1/3 c. vinegar
1/3 c. green bell pepper ( diced )
1 tbsp shortening
2 tbsp cornstarch
1 tbsp soy sauce

Marinated Taro Root

A marinated snack that can be used to replace late night bad habit cravings!

8 small taro roots
water
salt
1 cup yogurt, mixed with enough water to submerge roots (add salt)

  1. Wash the taro roots well.
  2. Slightly cut a slit into each root, but not big enough to split the root into two pieces. This will allow the water and marinade to go into the taro root
