Recipe contributed to our wedding by: Rosie Ruiz (Jessie\'s Brother\'s Mother-In-Law)

1 1/2 cups sifted, all purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
2 sticks unsalted butter
6 oz. semisweet chocolate chips
2 cups sugar
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
4 large eggs, whisked together
2 Tablespoons cocoa powder
1. Preheat oven to 350. 2. Sift together dry ingredients and set aside. 3. Melt the butter and chocolate chips together in a medium saucepan over low heat, stirring frequently. Watch the pot to make certain the chocolate doesn\\\'t scorch. 4. Add one cup of sugar to mixture and vanilla. 5. Remove the pot from heat and pour the mixture in a large bowl. 6. In a separate bowl mix the eggs and the other cup of sugar and whisk for about 3 minutes. 7. Using a rubber spatula, delicately fold the eggs into the chocolate mixture. 8. When the eggs are almost completely incorporated, fold in the dry ingredients. 9. Pour and scrape the batter into a 9x13 inch greased pan. 10. Bake the brownies for 25-28 minutes. Yields 12 pieces.
