Apple Coffee Cake With Crumb Topping is a delicious Fall dessert that is sure to be a show-stopper at any party. The cake is light, soft and moist on the inside, and is topped with perfectly caramelized apples and buttery-nutty-crunchy crumb topping. To take it to the next level and to make it scream Fall, I have drizzled the crumb top with cinnamon glaze just before serving. This recipe is super simple to make and requires few basic ingredients to put it together.

For caramelizing apples
Apples – 3
Butter – 1 tbsp
Brown sugar – 1/3 cup
Salt – pinch
For cake batter
All purpose flour – 2 cups
Baking soda – 1/2 tsp
Baking powder – 1 1/2 tsp
Salt – 1/2 tsp
Cinnamon powder – 1/2 tsp
Sugar – 2/3 cup
Brown sugar – 1/3 cup
Vegetable oil – 1/3 cup
Sour cream – 3/4 cup
Eggs – 2
Vanilla extract – 2 tsp
For crumb topping
All purpose flour – 1/2 cup
Butter melted- 1/2 cup
Almonds chopped – 1/2 cup
Cinnamon powder – 1/2 tsp
Salt – 1/4 tsp
Brown sugar – 1/2 cup
For cinnamon sugar glaze
Milk – 1 to 1 1/2 tbsp
Confectioners sugar – 1/2 cup
Cinnamon powder – 1/2 tsp
