What mom hasn’t heard that urgent plea from their little ones at meal times? And if you’re like me — a through-and-through macaroni and cheese lover — it’s hard to not indulge that request, especially when my mini-mes bat their little eyes at their easily swayed mother. While I will sometimes break open the boxed variety when I’m rushed, I prefer to bake my own from scratch as much as possible. 2 c. uncooked elbow macaroni
8 oz. cheddar cheese, shredded
8 oz. white American cheese, shredded
1 c. milk
1/2 c. sour cream
2 eggs
1/4 c. unsalted butter, melted
1 tsp. Texas Pete (or other hot sauce)
