During high school, I worked at a donut shop that some of our family friends owned. Every Saturday, I would wake up around 5:00 am to make it to the shop by 6 am and serve donuts to happy morning people. Seriously, waking up that early as a teenager was torture, but the amazing aroma of donuts definitely helped make it a little easier. For the donuts-
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
1/2 teaspoons nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon allspice
1/8 teaspoons ground cloves
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3/4 cup canned plain pumpkin (not pumpkin pie filling)
1/2 cup milk

Coating:
2 Tablespoons butter, melted
1/3 cup sugar
1 Tablespoon cinnamon
