Banana Bread Donuts with Brown Butter Glaze

These Banana Bread Donuts are perfect for breakfast or dessert. They also work as muffins if you don’t have a donut pan.

1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup applesauce (sweetened or unsweetened)
3/4 cup sugar
2 whole eggs and 4 egg whites
2 3/4 cup flour
2 tsp baking soda
4 overripe bananas
Brown Butter Glaze:
1/4 cup butter
2 cups powdered sugar
2-3 Tbsp milk
1 1/2 tsp vanilla bean paste or vanilla extract

Marinated Taro Root

A marinated snack that can be used to replace late night bad habit cravings!

8 small taro roots
water
salt
1 cup yogurt, mixed with enough water to submerge roots (add salt)

  1. Wash the taro roots well.
  2. Slightly cut a slit into each root, but not big enough to split the root into two pieces. This will allow the water and marinade to go into the taro root
