1 2-pound broiler chicken

Combine chicken, roasts, and water in a large stock pot Then cover and bring this to a boil. Reduce the heat, and let simmer for 1 hour or until the meat is tender. Remove meat from the broth, reserving the broth. Cool the meat completely. Remove the meat from the bones and grind the meat in a food processor or food grinder.
Add potatoes and onions to the broth and cook over medium heat for 20 minutes. Add the meat and remaining ingredients. Bring this to a boil. Reduce the heat and let simmer, uncovered, about 2 hours, stirring often. Add some water for a thinner consistency.
