Every year my mom and I would cook up a storm at Chanukah/Christmas time. I never knew what to get my boy's teachers for the holidays especially when they each had 3-6 teachers apiece. Mom said to make baked goods. So, we made a bunch of different things and I would come home with an unbelievable stash of baked goods. To help speed things up, she made a basic dough and we used this dough for many of our recipes. This dough can be used for pies, cookies, savory and sweet recipes. The cookies etc

5 cups of flour
4 sticks of butter
1 cup orange juice
4 sticks of butter
1 cup orange juice
Cut together the flour and butter. Add orange juice. Mix well until you have a nice dough. Can divide it, wrap it in saran wrap and save for future use. Recommend refrigerating it when not in use.
