Beefy Macaroni Tomato Soup

I love a good soup – and I will eat it any time of year! This soup is hearty, so it makes the perfect main dish. Serve it with some easy Homemade French Bread and a simple green salad and dinner is done!

1 pound lean ground beef
1 onion ( diced )
3 teaspoons minced garlic
2 teaspoons salt
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
1 teaspoon oregano
4 cups chicken stock
1 (26 ounce) jar spaghetti sauce
1 (14 ounce) can diced tomatoes ( drained )
½ cup cream cheese ( room temperature )
¼ cup fresh chopped basil ( divided )
1 (½ cups) elbow macaroni
